Viva Portofino features The Emily Anne Reed Band

Viva Portofino is proud to present a series of summer entertainment events beginning today, with a special performance by jazz vocalist of American Idol fame, Emily Anne Reed. Ms Reed’s trio will perform two shows for a Wine and Jazz Night at 6 p.m and 8 p.m.. Emily Anne Reed made news earlier this year by being chosen to go to Hollywood from the Bay Area auditions for American Idol. Judge Jennifer Lopez stated that Emily Anne had the “most interesting voice we’ve heard in eight cities.” Covering American music from the 1920s to the 1950s as well as original tunes, Emily Anne and her trio keeps an audience’s attention with tight arrangements. Miss Reed’s unique, sultry, yet sweet jazz vocal can be heard on, an originally penned track Times Passed.. Emily Anne’s vocal style is reminiscent of Blossom Dearie, Sarah Vaughn and Billie Holiday to name a few, but with a flavor all her own.
