Spring Book Sale at the San Leandro Main Library

The annual Spring Book Sale hosted by the Friends of the San Leandro Library organization is probably the only place in town where customers are offered a free continental breakfast before shopping.

On Saturday, April 2, 2011, over 10,000 quality books covering just about every subject and genre will be available for sale at bargain prices in the Karp/Estudillo Rooms of the San Leandro Public Library, located at 300 Estudillo Avenue in downtown San Leandro. The sale also includes children’s books, reference items, CDs, DVDs, software programs as well as collectible books. All books for sale are either in good or excellent condition and, with so many choices, shoppers are bound to find something that interests them.

Doors open to members of the Friends of San Leandro Library organization at 9 a.m. and then to non-members at 11 a.m. Friends Membership is $10 per year for individuals and $15 per year for families. New memberships can be obtained the morning of the sale, although early registration is encouraged. The sale ends at 4 p.m., and book sale proceeds help support San Leandro Public Library programming.
