" During a zoom meeting of 168 NRI Associations of USA and Canada, hosted by Indus Foundation, it was suggested if BJP wins and Narender Modi becomes a 3rd Timer PM, he should introduce a Bill in Parliament to Permanently Abolish "Rajya Sabha", which was formed for Princely States after 1947 Partition and have a very Transparent Lok Sabha conduct India's system, just like the USA", said Vikram Bajwa, president Indus Foundation.

Sonia had penned a letter to the voters of Rae Bareli announcing that she will not contest Lok Sabha polls due to health concerns. Sonia has won the Rae Bareli seat five times since 1999. In 2019, Rae Bareli was the only seat won by Congress in Uttar Pradesh. The Prime Minister criticized the opposition's INDIA bloc, stating that the alliance lacks a face to project and that people are uncertain about entrusting the country's future to them. He described the alliance as a group of selfish individuals who have united to protect their corrupt practices. PM Modi pointed out that the INDIA bloc partners were fighting each other for 25 per cent of the Lok Sabha seats, questioning their ability to govern effectively after the election. "If this is the situation now, what will they do after the election?" PM Modi said. The Prime Minister appealed to voters to come out in large numbers to exercise their voting right in the Lok Sabha elections.
