San Leandro High School Theater Arts presents "Crazy for You" the Gershwin musical

"Crazy for You" is a musical romp featuring the music and lyrics for George and Ira Gershwin. Actors are San Leandro High School theater students.  The live orchestra features student and professional musicians. The show begins when a stage-struck New York playboy, Bobby Child, is sent to a small, poor town in Nevada to close down the local theater. Soon Bobby falls in love with the theater owner’s daughter, Polly. In order to save the theater, he dreams up the idea to put on a show to raise money for the theater. In the end, the town is reinvigorated, the theater is saved and Bobby finds love.

SLHS Theater Arts students and musicians will perform 6 shows, including a matinee on Sunday, April 22nd at 2:00 PM.  Doors open 1/2 hour before showtime.  Tickets are available at the box office before each show and can be reserved via email at jeniengler@sbcglobal.net. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and students.
