continues its ‘Youth in Arts’ education programming with a Broadway Summer Camp, themed ‘Summer with Seuss,’ coming this June.
Youth in grades 3 through 8 can experience a week of theatre in an imaginative summer camp featuring an intensive program for youth of all skill levels.
Curtain Call’s ‘Summer with Seuss’ Broadway Summer Camp will be held in CCPA’s home theatre, the state-of-the-art San Leandro Arts Education Center (AEC), with courses taught by working actors and local teachers.
Participants will learn a variety of skills including: improvisation, stage combat, stage makeup, physical theatre, circus skills, music, dance, acting, play creation, theatre games, art, and more.
The weeklong camp will conclude with an evening of performances from the Broadway hit, “Seussical, the Musical".
“Summer is a great time for kids to stay active and develop themselves in all areas. We are excited to offer this Broadway Summer Camp that will teach children of all skill levels important tools needed for acting, singing, and stage movement. The camp will also be a ton of fun, offering an exciting alternative to your average summer camp,” said Andrea Gorham, CCPA Artistic Director, and Broadway Summer Camp Director.
