Blues and Beer: Celebrating Russell City's Music

It's an afternoon of live music starting at 2 p.m. on Sept. 1, right next door in downtown Hayward. The concert is free and food and drinks can be purchased.

 

The Hayward Area Historical Society is inviting the public to "Blues and Beer", an afternoon in celebration of the music of Russell City on Sept. 1 at 2 p.m. at its headquarters at 22380 Foothill Boulevard in Hayward.

Performing will be The Lovelight Blues Band, the Bay Area Blues Society Caravan of Allstars and the Blues Crew.

Come enjoy the free concert and purchase food and beer. (Food and drinks must be purchased on-site. You cannot bring your own food or beverages to the event.)

The beer donated for the event comes from multiple breweries including Buffalo Bill's Brewery in Hayward, Trumer in Berkeley, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in Chico and San Francisco's Speakeasy Brewery.

Organizers are recommending attendees bring their own lawn chairs.
