Thanks to Chad Pennebaker for submitting last's week's picture puzzle.
It was correctly identified by Mike Katz as the Kaiser office in San Leandro circa the 1950s.
The photo sparked a discussion about what newspaper was being read by the man who was depicted.
"San Leandro's paper was the Morning News, offices on East 14th Street if my old memory serves me right," recalled George Evans. "The Daily Review and the Oakland Tribune were the afternoon papers."
He had been a delivery boy back in the day. Now the news comes more often than not on smart phones. Oh, well. As the song says: "Something's lost and something's gained in living every day."
