The city says the inoperative traffic light at Hesperian and Thornally should be back in service no later than Tuesday, after a traffic accident knocked out a control box and greatly complicated the repair.
Patch reader Jim Liu complained that the light has been out for over two weeks, making it tough to enter or exit Bayfair Mall and the nearby BART station.
City of San Leandro traffic supervisor Steve Lombardi said the repairs would be completed early next week, which he hoped will be no later than Tuesday.
