Paw-A-Thon Coming to San Leandro Marina June 30

The Four Paws Society is inviting the public to join Grand Marshall and San Leandro Mayor Stephen Cassidy and his dog Button at the Paw-a-Thon and Pet Resource Fair June 30 at the San Leandro Marina.
Included will be a charity walk, exhibits, demonstrations, a petting zoo and much more from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Here is the event schedule:
9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. - Registration

9:30 a.m. - Opening Ceremony
9:45 a.m. - One mile charity walk begins (Proceeds benefit dog park and spay neuter programs.)
10:15 a.m. - Dog training demonstration
10:45 a.m. - Police K9 Unit demonstration
12 p.m. - Pet CPR demonstration
Registration is $20 per adult. Children under 12 can participate in the walk free. Participants are encouraged to help raise money by collecting pledges. You can qualify to win prizes (such as gift certificates and gift baskets) depending on the amount of money you raise as an individual or a team.
Come find out about pet adoptions and take advantage of free dog rabies vaccinations and low-cost micro-chipping.
There will also be information available on emergency pet preparedness.
