Library's Adult Reading Program Offers Prizes to Book Enthusiasts

The Adult Summer Reading Program is on now and continues through Friday, August 9.

From the City of San Leandro

The San Leandro Public Library and the Friends of the Library invite all adults 18 and over to join the 2013 Adult Summer Reading Program, the Summer Chefs.

To get in on the summer reading fun, simply visit any San Leandro Library, fill out a Summer Chefs registration form, rate and review books on any topic and in any format (print or audio, fiction or non-fiction) on a Summer Chefs Recipe Card (maximum two per week), and return the completed cards to any San Leandro Library for a chance to win great prizes.

Every Wednesday a lucky prize winner will be selected from the prior week’s entries. The weekly winners will be awarded a $25 gift card to a major local retailer.

The Adult Summer Reading Program is on now and continues through Friday, August 9.

All the Summer Chefs who read at least two books and submit two Summer Chefs Recipe Cards before Friday, August 9 will be invited to the grand finale — a free Chefs Dinner on Friday, August 23, featuring games, colorful entertainment, a delicious dinner, three $100 Grand Prize drawings, and even more prizes.

The Adult Summer Reading Program is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the San Leandro Library.
