Community Corner

Downtown Farmer's Market

The farmer's market in downtown San Leandro launches April 20 and continues every Wednesday until Oct. 19. Each week Parrott Street between Washington and E. 14th will transformed into a community destination that is closed off to vehicles.

In addition to offering fresh fruits and vegetables, gourmet foods, snacks and flowers, each Wednesday of the month will offer additional activities:

  • 1st Wednesday: Cooking demonstrations
  • 2nd Wednesday: Green Market Days sponsored by San Leandro Recycling
  • 3rd Wednesday: Family entertainment
  • 4th Wednesday: Wine tasting sponsored by the San Leandro Downtown Business Association

If you drive to the market, there's ample parking in the nearby city lot. Permit parking spots are available to the public after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
