Do You Not Want San Leandro to Raise the Chinese Flag? Sign the Petition
Sign a petition to have Mayor Stephen Cassidy suspend the action of raising the Chinese flag.
The night of Monday, Sept. 16 was very emotional and surprising to San Leandro residents as the San Leandro City Council voted in favor of raising the flag of the People’s Republic of China on Oct. 1.

However, most residents of San Leandro were not aware this resolution was going to be presented at the City Council meeting. Many people were not able to voice their opinion about raising the Chinese flag in front of City Hall.

The Tibetan Association of Northern California, San Francisco Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Students for a Free Tibet, Bay Area Friends of Tibet and Tibetan National Congress have created a petition to present to Mayor Stephen Cassidy in order to suspend the action of raising the flag. Also, to allow San Leandro residents to share why or why not the City of San Leandro should continue with their decision.
