California Connections Academy Celebrates 2013-2014 School Year at Open House in Ripon

Nearly 200 prospective and incoming students gathered in-person for an afternoon of socializing and crafting for California Connections Academy’s second annual open house on September 19 at the school’s teaching center in Ripon, Calif.

At the welcome event, students created their own “keys to success” with lanyards or beaded chains, and submitted their five-year goals to the school’s “reach for the stars” poster. Younger students practiced the alphabet with clay or shaving cream letters, while teachers guided students through making origami boxes, among other crafts.
