Merritt Spring Plant Sale - May 5-6
Merritt College holds their annual spring plant sale this weekend. I scoped out the selection on Wednesday and they are well stocked; herbs, citrus, strawberries, vegetables, flowering plants and much more.
All proceeds benefit the Landscape Horticulture Department at Merritt College - a most worthy cause and a fun event!

Sunset Magazine’s Celebration Weekend - June 2-3
This is a big event featuring food and drink, music, diy and garden stages. Never been to this event but I will be going this year. Wear your hat and sunscreen!

Ruth Bancroft Garden 18th Annual Sculpture in the Garden - June 15-July 14
If you like succulents and haven’t been to this garden, it is a must. Located in Walnut Creek, the garden features low-water plants in a nicely designed, once-private garden. Sculpture looks great with the strong forms and color of succulents and cacti...check it out!
