Eight Robberies Top Last Week's Police Blotter
SLPD made 48 arrests in a week that saw three assaults, 26 burglaries and 29 fights.
Here are day-by-day excerpts from the police department's Daily Activity Log from Sunday, May 27, through Saturday, June 2.
Police made 48 arrests last week . Citizens reported three assaults and 29 batteries. Eight robberies occurred in San Leandro, and 26 homes and cars were burgled.

Sunday, May 27th

Memorial week began with seven arrests, two assaults, three residential and two auto burglaries. Six batteries were also reported.
A vehicle accident with injuries that occurred at 2:17 a.m. on the 1300 block of Gilmore Drive resulted in the arrest of a suspect. Police filed their report after the arrest.
An assault with a deadly weapon happened at 4:49 p.m. on the 15300 block of Tropic Court. SLPD filed their report.
At 5:39 p.m. a burglary occurred on the 15200 block of Edgemoor Street. No further details about the burglary are available.
Monday, May 28th
Eight were arrested for various crimes today. The log recorded four batteries and three burglaries (two residential and one auto).
A battery was reported on the 1900 block of Davis Street. Police arrived at 7:12 p.m. arrested a suspected, conducted a field investigation and filed their report.
SLPD received a call about a burglary at 4 p.m. on the 400 block of W. Broadmoor Boulevard. A report was filed and investigation started.
Tuesday, May 29th
Crimes today included: one assault; two residential and two auto burglaries; three batteries and one robbery. SLPD made six arrests.
The 600 block of Bancroft Avenue was the scene of a robbery. Police arrived at 3:30 p.m. to investigate the robbery and file a report. No arrest was made.
An assault with a deadly weapon happened on the 500 block of Tudor Road at 9:47 p.m. SLPD investigated the incident and made an arrest.
A burglary was reported on the 14900 block of Portofino Circle at 12:35 p.m. No arrest was made an no further details about the burglary are available.
Wednesday, May 30th
No assaults were reported today. Only two arrests were made. SLPD also received reports of two robberies, three batteries, three residential and three auto burglaries.
A burglary of an occupied residence was reported at 12:09 p.m. on the 100 block of Pershing Drive. A report was filed.
A robbery on the 1200 block of Marina Boulevard happened at 8:43 p.m. statements were recorded but no other information regarding the crime is available at this time.
At 2:31 p.m. a battery was reported on the corner of Cary Drive and San Jose Street. The suspect was gone on arrival.
Thursday, May 31st
No assaults and no burglaries today. Three batteries, two robberies, along with eight arrests were reported.
A petty theft suspect was arrested on the 14300 block of E. 14th Street at 11:33 a.m.
A battery was reported at 3:47 p.m. on the 15100 block of Hesperian Boulevard. A report was filed.
Friday, June 1st
Two residential and two auto burglaries; six batteries and three robberies were reported. SLPD arrested seven for various crimes.
A burglary on the 2100 block of Carden Street was reported at 7:08 p.m. A report was filed.
SLPD responded to the scene of a vehicle accident at 5:19 p.m. on the corner of Cambridge Street and E. 14th Street. An arrest was made and a report was filed.
Police were dispatched to the 15300 block of Tropic Court at 7:57 p.m., the scene of an alleged battery. No arrest was made.
Saturday, June 2nd
The week ended with 10 arrests. Crime reports included: two residential burglaries, two auto burglaries and four batteries.
Someone suspected being under the influence of drugs or alcohol was arrested 12:23 a.m. on the 2300 block of E. 14th Street.
SLPD was dispatched to a reported battery at 1:49 p.m. on the 1300 block of 145th Avenue. A field interview was conducted.
A burglary was reported on the 2100 block of Bancroft Avenue at 10:20 p.m. the suspect was gone when police arrived.
