Advanced Physics Class $8,500 Away

Community has pledged $1,500 toward the $10,000 match needed to keep advanced placement physics at San Leandro High.

 

San Leandro High School is in danger of losing the advanced placement physics course that is important for students who aspire to careers in science, technology, engineering or math.

A month ago if the community contributed an equal amount to come up with the $20,000 needed to purchase instructional materials and lab equipment for the AP Physics class.

School officials say about $1,500 has come in so far.

To help get the next $8,500, send a donation with "AP Physics" noted on the check to: San Leandro High School, AP Physics Match, 2200 Bancroft Avenue, San Leandro, CA 94579.
